On the night of Sunday, October 29, 2017, extremely strong winds from a cold front moving through Pennsylvania brought down trees and interrupted power in this part of the United States and points northward. The damage included an old tree next to the farmhouse.
As the tree fell, it took with it the electric power line attached to the house and the cable for internet and wi-fi. Electric was restored rather quickly, however no wi-fi or internet service until Wednesday, November 8, 2017. Ten days off the grid was an eye opener.
No WordPress, no YouTube, no Spotify, no Facebook, no Twitter, no Flickr, no Pinterest, no Vimeo, no Google and no Tumblr. You get the idea. Also the lack of wi-fi and internet disrupted my part-time job from home so there went that “extra income”.
At Best Buy a few days ago, one of the associates said he would rather go without water than go without wi-fi or internet. He went on to say you can buy bottled water and bring it home but not wi-fi/internet, so the choice was simple.
That pretty much sums it up for me too. 😉 👏🏻 👍🏻
